What is HMI?

HMI The title Human Interface Machine means the interface between man and machine. This device establishes the connection between the operator and the controller in an industrial system. HMI is a control panel communication panel. This panel includes a numeric keypad and an LCD screen that displays TEXT.

When you write an application for HMI, you create a graphical interface on each page that allows the user to receive and send commands to PLC via a configured protocol. Difference between HMI and SCADA

SCADA (data collection, monitoring and control system) and HMI are very similar and both are part of a larger industrial control system, but each has different applications and offers different capabilities. The main task of HMI is to provide visual information to the user so that he can more easily monitor the industrial process. The SCADA system has more capacity for data collection and control function over the system. Unlike SCADA systems, HMI does not collect and record process information, but HMI is a very effective communication tool that is used as part of the SCADA system or in conjunction with the SCADA system.
