Ball Bearings

Bearing cages are divided into two categories in bearings: cages used in ball bearings and cages used in roller bearings. This division is related to the terms 'ball' and 'roller' in bearings. The word 'ball' means a spherical or round cage and is used in various types of bearings such as deep groove bearings, self-aligning bearings, thrust bearings, and angular contact bearings. On the other hand, the word 'roller' refers to cages of types like needle, barrel, tapered, and cylindrical that are used in roller bearings. The shape of the cages used in the structure of roller bearings is also one of the reasons for naming this type of bearings.
