What is a roller transmitter or surface transmitter?
Surface transmitters, or level transmitters, generate electrical output commensurate with the surface. Surface transmitters produce an output after reaching a certain value after each measurement.
Surface transmitters are widely used in measuring the surface of tanks and are used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, oil, petrochemical, electrical and other industries.
Types of surface transmitters
Hydrostatic surface transmitter
Capacitive surface transmitter
Radar level transmitter
Magnetic surface transmitter
Ultrasonic surface transmitter
Displacement level transmitter
Pressure difference level transmitter
Types of surface transmitter outputs
Flow output
The most common output in surface transmitters is a current output of 4 to 20 mA
Fieldbus output
In many cases the fieldbus protocol replaces the current output.
Frequency signals
Frequency signal output in the form of sine waves, pulse with AM and FM output
Other output transmitter outputs include current output, fieldbus output, and frequency signal output.
