Calibration Equipment
*Arsha Espad Shayan Company* is a provider of various calibration equipment for calibrating different parameters such as pressure, temperature, etc. Each measuring instrument (precision instrument) undergoes wear and tear due to thermal, chemical, and mechanical stresses, causing the values it displays to change over time. Naturally, it is impossible to avoid equipment wear and tear over time, but it can be detected at the right time by performing calibration.
Calibration: What Is It and Why Do We Need It?
In today's advanced world, accurate measurement is a fundamental and essential principle. Incorrect measurements can lead to significant economic losses in the field of technology. Therefore, all measuring equipment (precision instruments) should have a regular quality control process, taking into account all relevant standards. Doing so ensures the accuracy of measuring equipment. We can only have confidence in measurements made by precision instruments when we are sure of the correct functioning of these precision instruments.
The Benefits of Performing Periodic Calibration
Improved product quality in the factory
Process safety
Confidence in measuring equipment (precision instruments)
Prevention of rework and product returns
Compliance with standards and certifications
Confidence in inspections

In this process, the value displayed by the measuring equipment (precision instrument) is compared with the result shown by another measuring device chosen as the reference. The reference measuring device is known for its high performance and compliance with national or international standards. During calibration, the reference measuring device is used to check the accuracy of the measuring equipment in use.
The professional execution of the calibration process, considering standards, regulations, and various guidelines, is essential. For a measuring instrument that is going to be calibrated for the first time, a set of initial conditions must be provided. Physical conditions and the type of calibration that can be performed under these conditions should be considered. In these conditions, an appropriate calibration method should be selected based on environmental conditions.
Standards, Regulations, and Calibration Guidelines
Due to the high importance of proper calibration and the sensitivities involved, guidelines and standards such as ISO9000 series standards are available and are constantly used in different countries. In ISO9001(2008) standard (Quality Management System Requirements), section 7.6, titled "Control of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment," a specific requirement is defined that any inspection equipment that directly or indirectly affects product quality must be calibrated. For example, testing equipment used as a reference in a measurement room or directly on the production line.
ISO9000 series standards do not define the validity period of calibration but require that each inspection equipment be documented and differentiated so that a decision can be made whether it needs periodic calibration or not.
An inspection plan should be prepared in a way that includes the
