What is an industrial relay?
The relay is actually a switch with electrical function. Many conventional relays use an electromagnetic coil to operate the switch, but there are other operating methods, such as Solid State relays, that have different operating principles.
Technical specifications of industrial relays
Industrial relays are used when a separate low-power signal must be used to control a circuit, or where multiple circuits with a single signal need to be controlled.
The first relays produced were used as amplifiers in long-distance circuits. These relays received, amplified, and transmitted the signal received from the previous circuit to the next circuit. Relays were also widely used in basic telephone systems and computers to perform logic operations.
Contactors are actually relays that are used in high-power circuits to disconnect and reconnect the circuit directly, such as disconnecting and connecting circuits of electric motors or other loads. Solid-state relays are also used to disconnect and connect high-power circuits, except that they do not have a moving component inside and instead use a semiconductor component for switching operations.
Some types of relays, which have several coils for operation inside, are used to protect electrical circuits from overload and possible errors; In modern electrical systems, this is done by digital equipment called "protection relays".
Magnetic leaching relays require a coil pulse to move their contacts and a return pulse from another coil to return the contacts. Magnetic leaching relays are used in cases where power outages should not lead to the connection of contacts.
Magnetic leaching relays can have one coil or two coils. In relays that have a coil, the relay will operate in one direction when the power is connected to a polarity, and resets when the polarity is reversed. In a relay with two coils, the contacts will move when voltage is applied to the reset coil (second coil).
AC Controlled magnetic leaching relays have only one coil and conductor diodes that detect the difference between the operating command and the reset
