Siemens PLCs are divided into the following 6 categories. Mini PLCs or LOGO, S7-200 (out of production), S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500. SIMATIC S7-300 PLCs will be available at least until 2020 and have been tested and proven as a fixed controller.
